King County Fleet Services is looking for a dedicated Automotive Mechanic who will be responsible for performing timely repair and preventive maintenance on variety of light to medium duty vehicles and equipment. This position is well-suited for an experienced dealership automotive maintenance mechanic. The job includes repair and maintenance as well as up-fitting and preparing new vehicles for service.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION – The successful candidate must have a valid Washington State Driver License and:
PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL EXAM: An offer of employment will be contingent on the success of a pre-employment physical examination and reference check process. Typically, is completed within 3 weeks of offer.
POSSESS TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: The County provides employees with a $500 per year tool allowance. The successful candidate must submit a complete tool inventory prior to start date. Must provide own tool kit consisting of standard and metric, open end and socket wrenches including:
TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule for these positions is generally 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Alternative schedules may be required along with mandatory overtime and weekend work during emergencies. Work location maybe Renton or Georgetown facility.
UNION MEMBERSHIP: This position will be represented by Local 289 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
