GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Under broad supervision the position performs sub-journey level mechanic’s tasks; and under direct supervision performs journey level mechanic’s duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or GED equivalent and vocational automotive mechanic training certificate. Practical experience in the automotive or heavy-duty vehicle mechanical industry may be substituted for vocational mechanical training.
Licenses/Special Requirements
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Mechanics salary ($ 33.00 per hour), 40 hours per week, for a 260-day annual assignment. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The provisions of the collective bargaining agreement cover salary, benefits and working conditions. Benefits include retirement, medical, dental, vacation, holidays, and other benefits according to Board policy.
